Maine Coon cattery

Krownest Oranje is a small, “in-home” cattery. We love cats and have always had animals at home, but when we met Maine Coon, we were instantly enchanted by this breed and decided that we definitely had to have a Maine Coon in our house. Our first Maine Coon appeared in 2016, and already in 2017 the Krownest Oranje cattery was registered.

We treat our cats with great tenderness and love, they are members of our family. Keeping animals in cages is not allowed in our cattery, especially since Maine Coon cats are very freedom-loving. Our pets are sociable and unobtrusive, they find a “common language” with both people and other animals. They all are a part of our human life.

The main goal of our cattery is to breed healthy, sociable, affectionate animals that meet the breed standard.

All our adult breeding cats are echoed for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) by color-doppler ultrasound and all are normal. For all our cats we performed DNA test for HCM, PKD, SMA and Pkdef.

Our cattery is a closed cattery. This means that we do not take cats from other catteries for mating.

Our Maine Coons kittens leave us for the new home after 4 months. By this time, the kittens are socially adapted, free of helminths, fully vaccinated, have an European passport and a pedigree confirming the origin of the animal.

We regularly attend exhibitions and our cats often please us with excellent results.

Our knowledge and experience in breed development and animal care are constantly updated.
